JOB SUMMARY:
Provides service that is unique to our customer’s needs. Builds genuine connections and loyalty with
our customers and helps them build an entire wardrobe. Provides a high level of customer service
support with product expertise and advanced selling skills.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
Sales Generation and Performance
Assist in achieving individual and team sales and productivity performance goals.
Customer Service
Guides customers to looks that flatter.
Keeps up-to-date on J. Jill product features: colors, fabrics, fit, styles, care, etc.
Keeps up to date on what’s in fashion today and how J. Jill translates fashion trends for our
customers.
Visual Merchandising
Assists floor set execution and ongoing re-merchandising of store.
Replenishes the sales floor consistently to ensure all sizes and minimum standards are
represented on the sales floor.
Participates in all operational functions, including marketing, product processing and
replenishment, markdowns and promotions, store cleanliness, and backroom organization.
Complies with company policies and procedures, ensures a safe environment, and protects
company assets.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES:
Strong style, merchandising, and wardrobing skills.
Must have the availability to work during the majority of peak business periods, including
Saturday and Sunday.
EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE:
Previous work experience in a retail environment, Women’s specialty retail experience
preferred.
Point of sale system experience, Microsoft Office application experience helpful.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
Ability to communicate verbally with customers, extensive standing, walking, reaching,
pushing/pulling and maneuvering around sales floor and stockroom, hang/fold merchandise,
ladder climbing, operate POS register, lift and carry 30lbs, etc.
